Could Hon. Aloysius Mendee Mount a 2029 Bid for Buu-Yao Representative Seat?

Rumors are circulating that Aloysius may contest the Buu-Yao Representative seat in 2029.

While he is neither wealthy nor widely known as a public figure, his name carries recognition across the district. His credentials include service in all three branches of government—Legislature, Executive, and Judiciary—at both local and national levels.

A son of Wea Chiefdom with lineage in Yao Tahnplay, Aloysius began as Sectional Clerk under Gontoah Geegbaydeh in Wea Clan from 2000-2004. He later became the first District Clerk when Buu-Yao was declared an Administrative District, and served as Acting District Commissioner under the late Peterson Bongar in 2006.

From 2007-2014 he worked as Clerk of Court at Beeplay Magisterial Court, then served at the 8th Judicial Circuit Court in Sanniquellie in 2014. For the past 12 years he has served alongside Senator Samuel Gongben Kogar, former Representative of District #5, with most of his work focused in Nyor Chiefdom.

Politically trained under Senator Kogar, he is seen by supporters as having the experience and exposure to be a formidable candidate.
